Company Overview: Telelogic, founded in 1983 with operations in 22 countries worldwide, is the leading global provider of software and services for Enterprise Lifecycle Management (ELM). Award winning Telelogic products go beyond Requirements Management and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) by combining the voice of the customer with business objectives to drive development of products, applications, advanced systems and software. Customers buy our solutions to align and optimize product, systems, and software development lifecycles with business objectives and customer needs to dramatically improve quality and predictability, while significantly reducing time-to-market and overall costs.
Product/Service Description: Telelogic Tau® provides standards-based Model-Driven Development of complex systems and software for enterprise applications including Service Oriented Architectures for the IT, aerospace/defense, telecom, and transportation domains. Its iterative approach, automated error-checking, and model verification minimize errors from initial requirements to final documentation and code. Tau supports the latest industry standards for visual systems, including UML 2.1, SysML 1.0, MDA®, DoDAF, SOA, and the UML Testing Profile. SysML is implemented in Telelogic Tau as a UML profile, enabling systems engineers and other users to view developed models using diagrams and frameworks from either specification. This improves communication across the system development lifecycle, enhances knowledge capture, and lowers maintenance overhead. SysML augments UML to support the specification, analysis, design, verification, and validation of complex systems that may include hardware, software, data, personnel, procedures, and facilities. The same model set that specifies the functioning system can be used to create and define the specification and initial starting point for those parts of the system allocated to individual components and their software. This extends the model-driven nature of the development process and reduces errors and maintenance costs by bridging the gaps between systems and software engineering.
